私の英語論文一報目が、米国の雑誌に掲載されることになりました。去年の1月に、博士課程に進学することを決めたときに立てた目標が、修士在学中の国際学会発表と、英語論文のアクセプト。国際学会発表は、今年3月にすることができたものの、論文がアクセプトされていなかったことが、私が修士で唯一やり残してしまった仕事でした。
去年1月に何となく書き始め、初めて一つの英文原稿としてまとまったのが去年の7月。初めて投稿に漕ぎつけたのが、去年の9月でした。
非常に長い時間がかかってしまいましたが、初めてうまく行きそうな返事が来たのが、初めに書いた「3月末」のメール。まだ決まっていないのに、一人、体が震えるほど嬉しかったのを覚えています。そして、今日。
今日まで、気にしても仕方のないことだったのですが、それでも投稿した論文が通るかなとか、次の返事がダメだったらまたやり直して時間かかるなとか、どうしても気になってしまう毎日でした。でももうしばらくは、そんな心配をしなくていいんだと思うと、とても安心します。
まだ始まったばかりですが、これで博士課程でも何とかやっていけるかなと思えます。
