演者は、数多くのストーリーを交えながら「抜本的に知性の意味を考え直す必要がある」「私たちは次世代の人間を教育するための根本的な理念を再考しなければならない」ことを訴えています。

私にとっては、次の2文も印象に残りました。
現在の世界中における公教育の目的は、大学教授を生み出すことだと言わざるを得ない。 I think you'd have to conclude the whole purpose of public education throughout the world is to produce University professors. (9'41")
しかし、大学教授だけが人間の“最高峰”ではない。大学教授は単に1つの生き方にすぎない。
We shouldn't hold them up as the high-water mark of all human achievement. They're just a form of life. (9'59")
